Test Plans

Test plans are set plans designed to test and evaluate the performance of the rover throughout the course of the semester. Test plans are designed to individually analyze an engineering specification and each test plan goes along with an engineering specification.

Why they are important: Preforming a test plan gives immediate feedback about the capabilities of the rover. Test Plans evaluate the rover to make sure it is able to perform the basic functions required to complete all the missions.

What we compare them to: The results from the test plans will be compared directly to the engineering specifications. In order to successfully pass all the missions, the rover must meet or exceed all of the engineering specifications. If the test plan passes, the rover will meet that engineering specification. If the test plan yields a fail, then an engineering specification is not met and a redesign of the rover will be required.
